Kuala Lumpur - The first Chapter

All in all we spent 15 days in Kuala Lumpur (KL). We stayed in China Town (Petaling Street) for the majority of our stay. China town was such a lively place to stay. Each morning stall sellers would set up their stalls at around 10am and then spend 12 hours selling their goods then at 10.05pm their stalls was taken down and no one could be seen just traveler's.

Every single day we was asked if we wanted to buy a DVD, or a purse or a bag. Every day they got the same answer. No!

Kuala Lumpur is an exciting city, there is so much to do. But you just have to search for it. On our first day we actually did nothing yes zilch.  As we had no sleep the night before as our plane set off from Phucket at 5am so we had to be at the airport for 2am. Thinking about it now we could of actually saved ourselves a bit of cash by not booking a room that night in the hotel we stayed at.

Around 3pm we went to search for Nikki and Ross (the pals we met when traveling through Thailand) turns out we was too hostels away from them. They had the nice hostel we had the dingy one with no windows in our room. We went out for dinner as they was heading to the train station to catch a train to Singapore, we had dinner and then said our good bye's for a final time. (This time it was actually the last time we would see them until we went back to England)

Petronas Towers During the day
Our second day was the day we went out and explored what KL had to offer us. We stumbled up on the Petronas Towers. These bad boy towers stood at 451.9 metre's (1482.6 feet). They are currently the worlds tallest set of twin towers. There are 88 floors in each towers, the public can que for one of the 1000's of tickets they give out free to go up the towers. But you are only allowed up to the 41st floor on the sky bridge. We didn't go up the towers as we was too lazy to get out of bed to get one of the free tickets.

We did go take some photo's of us at the bottom of the tower, and also did some shopping in the mall which is located under neath the towers.

Petronas Towers During the evening
We went to see another tall building called the KL tower. This tower looks taller than the Petronas towers but its not. It appears to be taller but the KL tower is built upon a hill. The KL tower is 421 meters high and only has 6 floors.

That's enough of tall buildings. Catch ya later
