So here we go..............
To top a great trek off we jumped on a raft made of bamboo and travelled down the river to the pick up point.
It was the most relaxing thing we have ever done. Sitting on a raft having no care in the world travelling around 7 mph some times it would be 15 mph depending on the current. We was on the raft for a good 90mins.
The sun was so hot there was just a little breeze, it was so beautiful.
You could swim in the river but we didn't chance it. The locals use the river for washing and laundry oh and doing toilet business.
These little kids started to sing to us when we drifted past. |
When it come to the end of the journey we had to jump off the raft on the other side of the river. To get over the river we had to us the oldest bridge I've ever seen.
I personally was shitting myself crossing this bridge, as there was gaps where there was missing planks of wood, one wrong move and that's it your floating down the river. Plus it didn't help when some of the planks of wood moved under your feet. I'm so glad we don't have to cross it again.
